Documentation
Start from a query.
Enough to get productive in five minutes. The full reference lives in the repository and grows with every release.
Quick start
Four steps to a result grid.
-
Add a connection
Click New Connection, pick an engine, and fill in host and credentials. Or paste a connection URL and the form fills itself. Test verifies against the live server before you save.
-
Connect and query
Click a saved connection and the schema loads in the sidebar. Type a query for the connected engine, then press Cmd+Enter or Ctrl+Enter to run.
-
Browse a table
Click any table or collection in the sidebar to run a SELECT * or find automatically. Filter columns, edit cells, and commit or roll back your pending changes.
-
Jump anywhere
Cmd+K opens the command palette: fuzzy-search every saved connection and schema object without touching the mouse.
Query syntax
Each engine keeps its language.
RDB does not pretend every database has one query shape. The editor follows the connected engine.
PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQLite, SQL Server, Oracle, ClickHouse
SQL
SELECT * FROM users WHERE active = true Cassandra
CQL
SELECT * FROM keyspace.table ALLOW FILTERING No JOIN, subquery, or HAVING: CQL is a narrower dialect than SQL.
Redis, Valkey
command tokens
GET user:1SET user:1 valueHGETALL user:1 MongoDB
mongosh chain
db.users.find({ age: { $gt: 20 } }).limit(5)use('shop')
db.orders.find({ status: 'open' }).sort({ _id: -1 }) Opening a collection writes this same form into the editor, so what you browse is a query you can edit.
MongoDB tab
Mongosh-shaped, parser-backed.
Query bodies are read as JSON5, so unquoted keys and single-quoted
strings work exactly as they do in mongosh. Modifiers may appear in any
order and apply to find.
Methods
- find({ ... })
- aggregate([ ... ])
- insertOne({ ... })
Chain modifiers
- .limit(n)
- .skip(n)
- .sort({ field: 1 | -1 })
Addressing
- use('database')
- db.collection
- db.getCollection('fs.files')
Not yet parsed: ObjectId(...) and helpers
beyond find, aggregate,
and insertOne. Autocomplete can offer some of
them before the parser supports them.
